THE TRIP
A fully outfitted hosted campsite on Squaw Valley Creek in McCloud, CA just a dirt road away from the majestic river. Campfires, horseshoes, music, good food and good company.

THE CAMP
With 500+ feed of creek front and manicured grounds, the outpost is an anglers delight. The camp is complete with an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, bathroom, outdoor shower, horseshoe pits, and trail system.

THE FISHING
The McCloud River is rooted in trout lore and the Fall is the perfect time to visit this area. Long emerald pools, pristine riffles, pocket water - you name it. This river is loaded with wild fish and chances at big browns.
Wall Tents / Tent Sites
The campsite accommodations are rustic and ready for your camping goods. We have available 2 Denver Colorado Wall Tents each with 2 twin beds, charging station, gear bench and lantern. We also have plenty of space to pitch a tent, or park a van up to 25’. The site has a new and clean porto-potty for campers as well, an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day on the river.
The tents are on raised decks with covered porches and comfortable seating. Bring a table and set up shop!
Out of the kitchen
Our outfitters will be handling all your meals while at the Outpost. We have a camp kitchen fully equipped with a 3-burner camp chef, 20” charcoal weber, outdoor dining table, and serving tables.
Breakfast Options: Overnight Oats, Fresh Fruit, Bagels/Cream Cheese.
Lunch: River Snacks, Sandwiches
Dinner: Chicken/Steak Tacos, Rice & Beans, Salad, Desert

Wall Tent: $300 / person
Own Tent/Van/Small RV: $250 / person
Price includes access to McCloud River Outpost and all of its amenities. Fully outfitted camp including all cooking and activities. Fishing is DIY with access to Ah-Di-Nah and the Nature Conservancy (limited to available tags at conservancy) on the McCloud River. Campers also have access to Squaw Valley Creek via the Pacific Crest Trail and the Upper Sacramento River, Hat Creek, and Pitt River are all within a 45 minute drive. If you are interested in adding a guide to your trip, we can help set up your reservation with some of the fishiest McCloud River local guides. All guests must have a valid California Fishing License.
